There are a lot of great ideas from the last meeting.
- View My Basket from the VLE (contributor data is stored in the repository)
- Likeness searching (how can we determine what is similar?)
- Usage statistics from intraLibrary logs and VLE database (could use this to prevent resources
- Drag 'n Drop upload tool that puts items in their personal area on the repository
- Import/Export with NVivo
- tag/search suggestions using AJAX to query what has been used to tag or search
The only thing restraining us in implementing them is project time. I suppose it's good news at the end of this project that we are all finding new directions to take the repository forward and provides motivation for new proposals.
In all this, I should mention the generous sharing of code from Martin Morrey from Intrallect and Paul Hart from IRISS that allowed me to harvest metadata for the Tag Clouds.
